I Want
This thing is leap years ahead of the new iPhone 4. Glad I waited on the original Droid. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. Now, if would only turn me into a cyborg like the commercial…
Biocentrism
Philosophy or science? Neither? Both? The scientist behind it claims it can be proven with a souped up version of Super Position. Fun stuff to think about.
“Without consciousness, “matter” dwells in an undetermined state of probability. Any “universe” that could have preceded consciousness only existed in a probability state.”
And then there’s the theory that we’re too stupid to understand The Universe.
Lanza thinks time reboots after we die. Just throwing that in for fun.
MS Anti-Virus doesn’t like Silverlight
Microsoft Security Essentials keeps tagging a Microsoft Silverlight file as a possible threat. Isn’t that “irony”? I can never remember…
The man behind Wikileaks
Amazing article about the man behind Wikileaks. Incredible stuff. Read if you have the time. This is where privacy and a lack of control on the internet is a very very good thing.
“Assange also wanted to insure that, once the video was posted online, it would be impossible to remove. He told me that WikiLeaks maintains its content on more than twenty servers around the world and on hundreds of domain names. (Expenses are paid by donations, and a few independent well-wishers also run “mirror sites” in support.) Assange calls the site “an uncensorable system for untraceable mass document leaking and public analysis,” and a government or company that wanted to remove content from WikiLeaks would have to practically dismantle the Internet itself.”

Hello From 35k feet
My first flight with wifi. Seems to work pretty well. Here are the speed test results from 35k feet. Latency is far too high for VOIP or video conferencing but it’s pretty snappy downloading web pages. I pinged www.google.com non-stop for 15 minutes. Not a single dropped packet. Interesting…
EDIT: Possible flaw here. What if your battery is dying and you just paid $10 for wifi access? There are no power ports in these seats. I happen to have an extra battery charged up but I imagine most people won’t.
Lucky shots
Some cool shots I got flying into DC today.
Theoretical physics? Get a job!
Opinion peice in some small town local paper. Apparently this guy has a real problem with theoretical physics. Sort of a strange thing to direct your frustration at.
